Amy Smart, an American model and actress from the United States. Amy Smart was born and raised in California USA began her modelling in Italy. She began her acting career in 1996, when she appeared in the TV movie Her Costly Affair. The struggle she had to get an appearance in Starship Troopers, a film with mainly minor roles was a gruelling battle. Amy was unable to make the leap from modeling into acting, as models are not usually considered to be actors of any kind. Models are often only given minor or unimportant roles. Amy never gave up. Her first major part came from The 70s followed by Varsity Blues. The 2005 romantic comedy Just Friends, which also featured Ryan Reynolds, saw her take on larger parts. The film became a massive film at the box office and Amy was finally able to get the success she'd been seeking for more than a decade. Amy was in several big movies within the Crank trilogy opposite Jason Statham. And she had a part in a series of recurring roles on the Shameless series.
