Anna Silk was born at St. Thomas University in Fredericton in New Brunswick, Canada. She is the daughter of Peter Silk - an academic as well as Ilkay Silk, an accomplished actor, writer, director and producer. Her father hails from Britain as does her mother, who is a "Turkish Cypriot-English expat." Anna's earliest memories include attending play rehearsals and watching her mother's her job. Early on, Anna appeared on several commercials for television. Anna relocated to Toronto so that her acting skills could develop. Later, the actress was able to move to Los Angeles. Seth Cooperman and Anna met in Los Angeles in 2007, during an actor's training. They became engaged in 2009 when they were married. Anna began her journey to becoming a Jewish woman in 2011, after she converted to Judaism. They were weddings in the month of December that year and then renewed their vows in an Jewish wedding ceremony that took place in Fredericton, in April 2011.
