Paula Patton is an actress and producer best known for her leading roles in the action-spy movie Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol as well as the dramatic film Precious. As a child in Los Angeles with a middle-class mother, the actress had plenty of goals. Her mom was a film buff and encouraged a love of film in her young daughter too. Paula enjoyed participating in school co-curricular activities and she was a huge fan of drama. Paula loved acting with friends as well as participating in school productions. Hamilton Magnet Arts High School provided her with numerous chances to perform throughout her schooling and she chose acting to pursue a career. In a summer program at the University of Southern California, she thoroughly enjoyed her time there. The program was awarded to her by PBS to create documentaries over a period of three months. She began her career as a TV production assistant following the completion of this task. After completing her assignment, she started producing documentary films. Although she enjoyed her work but she was always wishing for the role of an actress. Her career began in acting when she appeared as Will Smith's co-star on love story Hitch. Since then, she has been in a variety of films and television shows.
