Lucy Liu was born in the United States. Liu is an American actress, a singer and voice actor. She's a beautiful, talented actress who has helped numerous Asian actors to achieve success in Hollywood. A series of successful early performances in popular TV series led to her becoming famous for joining the cast on Ally McBeal, where she appeared as Ling Woo. After a sudden surge in popularity, the actress got roles on the big screen including Shanghai Noon and Charlie's Angels. Her next performance was a dazzling performance in the role of Japanese crime lord O-Ren Ishii in Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill Volume 1. In the same time frame she also acted as the lead in some failures at the box office such as Rise: Blood Hunter. Southland's critically-acclaimed police drama, Southland and a recurring part in the show helped Liu establish herself her status as a well-known actor.
