Lucy-Liu

Lucy Liu was born in the United States. Liu is an American actress, a singer and voice actor. She's a beautiful, talented actress who has helped numerous Asian actors to achieve success in Hollywood. A series of successful early performances in popular TV series led to her becoming famous for joining the cast on Ally McBeal, where she appeared as Ling Woo. After a sudden surge in popularity, the actress got roles on the big screen including Shanghai Noon and Charlie's Angels. Her next performance was a dazzling performance in the role of Japanese crime lord O-Ren Ishii in Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill Volume 1. In the same time frame she also acted as the lead in some failures at the box office such as Rise: Blood Hunter. In animated films like Kung Fu Panda, Tinker Bell and many others, she voiced characters with prominent voices. Small screen roles such as Mia Mason in Cashmere Mafia did not yield outcomes. Southland's critically-acclaimed police drama, Southland and a recurring part in the show helped Liu establish herself her status as a well-known actor. Liu picks her roles with utmost care so that she doesn't get typecast in a competitive industry. She's acknowledged her Chinese heritage, but she doesn't allow it to limit her artistically.
